Job summary

BOA Recycling is seeking a Service Technician to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot machines on-site for customers worldwide. You will be the face of BOA to our customers, perform inspections, and collaborate with engineering, software, and service teams to ensure reliability.

The role requires practical electrical/mechatronics training and PLC knowledge, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar service role, preferably with BOA machines.
• Solid knowledge of PLC systems and electrical installations.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and modify machines on-site at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate with engineering and service teams.
• Provide operators with instructions and hand over machines to customers.
• Identify opportunities and pass them to sales.

BOA Recycling develops and supplies high-quality equipment for the waste processing industry. To expand our service team, we are looking for an independent and customer-focused Service Technician who will help us ensure the quality and reliability of our machines worldwide.

What will you be doing?

As a Service Technician, you’ll be the face of BOA to our customers. You’ll be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and modifying machines and systems on-site. You’ll perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and contribute ideas for improvements. You’ll work independently but maintain close contact with colleagues in engineering, software, and service.

Your duties include, among other things

• Assembling and testing electrical components and control panels
• Connecting machines on-site, including PLC configuration
• Commissioning systems according to established procedures
• Updating and modifying hardware and software
• Troubleshooting malfunctions in collaboration with colleagues
• Providing instructions to operators and handing over machines to the customer
• Identifying technical or commercial opportunities and passing them on to sales
• Conducting inspections and documenting necessary upgrades
• Consulting with the customer on implementation, answering questions, and coordinating work
• Working in accordance with BOA’s procedures and instructions

What do you bring?

• MBO level 4 direction electrical engineering or mechatronics
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar function (preferably with BOA machines)
• Knowledge of PLC systems and electrical installations
• Driving license BE
• Good oral command of English and German
• You are solution-oriented, customer-oriented, stress-resistant and accurate
• In possession of or willing to obtain: VCA, BHV, forklift certificate, safe lifting
