Job summary

AgXeed is seeking a Service Engineer to support customers and dealers, diagnose and repair robot tractors, and travel internationally. The role blends on-site visits with remote support, contributing to commissioning, upgrades, and product improvements.

The candidate should have HBO-level technical education, a strong mechanical/electrical background, and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including evenings/weekends when needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and dealers, remotely and on-site.
• Diagnose, analyse and resolve technical issues and malfunctions.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on AgXeed robot tractors at customer/dealer sites.
• Support commissioning, upgrades and technical modifications.
• Use diagnostic tools and data to identify issues and solutions.
• Document service activities and technical findings accurately.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other teams to resolve problems.
• Share field knowledge with colleagues and contribute to product improvements.
• Travel regularly to customers and dealers, including internationally.

About the Role

As a Service Engineer, you play an important role in supporting our customers and dealers and keeping our robot tractors performing at their best.

You provide technical support both remotely and on-site. This means that one day you may be diagnosing an issue through our helpdesk and the next you could be travelling to a customer or dealer to troubleshoot, maintain or repair a machine.

You will regularly work at customer and dealer locations, including internationally, and collaborate closely with our technical teams at AgXeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and dealers, both remotely and on-site.
• Analyse, diagnose and resolve technical issues and malfunctions.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on AgXeed robot tractors at customer and dealer locations.
• Support commissioning, upgrades and technical modifications.
• Use diagnostic applications and technical data to identify and resolve issues.
• Accurately document service activities, technical findings and solutions.
• Work closely with Engineering and other technical teams to resolve technical issues.
• Share knowledge and experiences from the field with colleagues.
• Provide feedback on technical performance, customer needs and developments in the market.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and further development of our products and services.
• Travel regularly to customers and dealers, including international locations.

Qualifications

• Higher professional (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable technical field.
• Technical affinity and a strong willingness to learn.
• Valid category B driving licence.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 50% of the time.
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends when service support requires it.

Required Skills

• Good technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to analyse and solve technical problems in a structured and practical way.
• Comfortable working with computers, technical software and digital tools.
• Experience using diagnostic tools or applications to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Customer-focused and service-minded approach.
• Proactive and hands-on attitude with a strong focus on finding solutions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of robotics, electronics and hydraulics.
• Experience with maintenance, diagnostics and repair of agricultural machinery or other complex mobile machinery.
• Experience working in a field service or technical support environment.
• Knowledge of the German language.
• Affinity with agriculture, autonomous technology and/or AgTech.
