Job summary

DEPT® is seeking an SEO Manager to lead organic strategy execution, guiding Associates and aligning technical, content, and authority work with client goals. You will drive GEO transitions and navigate AI search, acting as the primary client contact across search surfaces.

You will oversee SEO roadmaps, backlink strategies, and technical audits, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with Content and Creative teams to ensure best practices are embedded in brand storytelling.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of hands-on SEO experience.
• Deep expertise in Technical SEO and site rendering.
• Proven track record of building brand authority via outreach.
• Experience adapting SEO for AI-driven ecosystems (GEO).
• Mastery of SEO tools: Ahrefs, Semrush, Botify, Screaming Frog, GSC.
• Strong project management and ability to lead multiple workstreams.
• Exceptional presentation skills and client storytelling.
• Experience in Local SEO and Offsite search strategies is a plus.
• Mentor and develop junior SEO colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee SEO roadmaps bridging traditional SEO with GEO.
• Lead authority-building initiatives and digital PR for backlinks.
• Perform deep-dive audits on JS rendering, site structure, schema, Core Web Vitals.
• Lead client meetings and translate data into business insights.
• Collaborate with Content/Creative teams to embed SEO in brand storytelling.
• Mentor and review work of SEO Associates.
