Job summary

Picnic is seeking an SEO Specialist to optimize our website for search performance and user experience. You will collaborate with developers and designers to implement technical SEO changes and work with content teams to align content with search intent.

We expect up to 2 years of international SEO experience, strong knowledge of site architecture, crawl/indexing, structured data, and tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.

Qualifications

• Minimum up to 2 years of SEO experience in an international environment.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO including site architecture, crawl management, structured data and mobile-first indexing.
• Experience with CMS to implement technical changes on websites.

Responsibilities

• Launch SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve rankings.
• Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify opportunities and optimize content for search intent.
• Analyze and optimize technical SEO aspects such as site architecture, crawlability, and page speed.
• Collaborate with developers and UX/UI designers to implement SEO changes and follow best practices.
• Collaborate with content teams to optimize content for search engines while preserving brand voice and engagement.
• Monitor performance with SEO tools, track rankings and backlinks, and identify improvement areas.
• Provide regular reports on organic search performance and recommend strategies for improvement.

Tricks of the trade

• Launch SEO strategies: Create and execute SEO strategies tailored to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
• SEO research: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify opportunities and ensure content is optimized for search intent and relevance.
• Technical SEO optimization: Analyze and enhance the technical aspects of our website, including site architecture, crawlability, indexability, and page speed.
• Close collaboration: Work closely with web developers and UX/UI designers to implement technical SEO changes and ensure website best practices are followed.
• Content optimization: Collaborate with the content team to optimize & implement content for search engines while maintaining brand tone and user engagement.
• Performance monitoring: Utilize SEO tools to monitor performance, track keyword rankings, analyze backlinks, and identify improvement areas.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports on organic search performance and recommend strategies for improvement.

Your superpowers

• MSc. degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics or similar
• Up to 2 years of experience as SEO Specialist in an international environment
• Deep understanding of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawl management, structured data, and mobile-first indexing
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush and Screaming Frog
• Ability to make and implement technical changes directly on websites (experience with Content Management Systems)
• Fluency in either Dutch, German or French is required, next to fluency in English
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and apply them to SEO strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and content creators
• Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and a passion for improving website performance and user experience
