Job summary

BSS Holland BV seeks a Data Fusion & AI Engineer who operates at the intersection of sensors, data architectures, AI, and operational use within a TRSC context. You design multi-sensor data-fusion pipelines, develop AI/ML models for detection and context generation, and integrate georeferenced data into coherent operational views.

You will apply AI-assisted development workflows, validate models with exercises and mission data, and retain full ownership of assumptions, validation, and system

Qualifications

• Education at BSc or MSc level in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong foundation in data fusion, sensor fusion, probabilistic methods, or machine learning.
• Programming experience (Python, C/C++, Java) with data/ML frameworks.
• Experience or interest in ISR, UAS, geospatial data, simulations, or edge computing.
• Hands-on use of AI-aided development tools in daily engineering workflows.
• Ability to translate models and assumptions into robust, fieldable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-sensor, multi-source data-fusion pipelines.
• Develop and apply AI/ML models for detection, classification, tracking, and context generation.
• Integrate georeferenced data, imagery, and metadata into coherent operational views.
• Contribute to TRSC chains, from sensing through decision support toward effectors.
• Design edge and hybrid architectures where latency, bandwidth, and resilience are critical.
• Validate and improve models based on exercises, mission data, and realistic scenarios.
• Apply AI-assisted development workflows for experimentation, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
