Job summary

PREZIS in the Netherlands seeks a Software Engineer to advance Counter-UAS and sensor integration. You will merge radar, optical, acoustic data and other sensors to produce a coherent airspace picture, improving detection and geolocation within PREZIS’ C2 environment.

You will integrate third‑party sensors, build real‑time processing pipelines in C++, Rust and Python, and collaborate across software, systems engineering and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in software development, preferably using C++, Rust, or Python.
• Knowledge of sensor fusion, signal processing, tracking algorithms, or multi-sensor systems.
• Understanding of Kalman filtering, state estimation, track association, and spatial coordinate transformations.
• Experience working with Linux-based development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical solutions.
• Hands‑on and structured, with an interest in both software development and physical system integration.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Preferred: Experience with ROS2, Docker, and real‑time data processing; integration of radar, optical, acoustic, or RF sensors; development of geolocation or tracking algorithms; experience in robotics, autonomous systems, defense, aerospace, or Counter-UAS applications.

Responsibilities

• Integrate third-party sensors into PREZIS platforms.
• Develop interfaces between radar, optical, acoustic sensors and other systems.
• Design software components for sensor data acquisition, processing, and integration.
• Ensure reliable communication and interoperability between sensors, processing systems, and C2 applications.
• Develop and maintain sensor fusion and tracking pipelines.
