Job summary

Fiducial in Delft, Netherlands, is seeking an experienced PCB design engineer to lead hardware bring-up for UAV compute and sensor platforms. You will own hardware from prototype to field-ready product, design multi-layer PCBs, and coordinate with contractors to deliver robust boards for defence-focused applications.

The role requires strong Altium/KiCad skills, high-speed routing (PCIe Gen3/4, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB 3.x), EMI filtering, and a hands-on approach to bring-up and testing on-site at the

Qualifications

• Senior-level PCB design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Deep multi-layer PCB design and stack-up planning expertise.
• Proven high-speed routing: PCIe Gen3/Gen4, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB 3.x with impedance control.
• Experience with DC power filtering and EMI mitigation in battery-powered systems.
• Hands-on PCB bring-up: debugging, bench testing, firmware flashing.
• Proficiency in Altium and/or KiCad; familiarity with CST Studio Suite or similar.
• Portfolio of PCB projects designed and brought up independently.
• Experience with SBC/embedded carrier boards (Jetson/Rockchip) and camera interfacing.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-layer PCBs from schematic to release for UAV platforms.
• Route high-speed buses with impedance control and length matching.
• Develop DC power systems and EMI mitigation strategies for battery-powered hardware.
• Bring up new boards, debug schematics, bench-test, and flash firmware.
• Set technical direction for PCB design and bring-up across hardware teams.
• Own hardware from prototype to field-ready product.
