We have been engaged by a well-known corporate to hire a senior Technical Program Manager to lead large tech initiatives across multiple teams.

Your role as Senior Technical Program Manager

As senior Technical Program Manager, you lead large tech initiatives that cut across several teams, in a product-led, agile environment. You own the how and when of delivery and work closely with a team of ambitious Product Managers, who remain accountable for product vision, strategy and the what and why. You create the structure that allows all teams to deliver as one, and you bring senior stakeholders together around evidence, options and trade-offs. If you are proactive, like a fast pace and know which battles to pick, you will make a real impact here.

Your responsibilities

• Owning the end-to-end delivery plan, milestones and critical path for cross-team initiatives, and setting a consistent way of delivering: reporting, cadence, RAG criteria and stage gates.
• Making dependencies and risks visible early, aligning team roadmaps with the integrated plan, and escalating to the right decision forums.
• Coordinating delivery across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Risk, Finance and vendors.
• Giving leadership, steering forums and stakeholders one clear, data-driven view of status, risks and trade-offs.
• Framing options for prioritisation and recommending scope, date or resourcing changes, with the final decision at the right level.
• Improving the delivery system itself: tracking milestone reliability, escalation lead time and stakeholder clarity, and adapting the way of working accordingly.

Your profile

You are a seasoned program leader who gets people moving without needing formal authority. Ambiguity and high stakes don’t put you off: you bring just enough structure, hold senior stakeholders to their commitments, and turn complex situations into clear decisions. You also bring:

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management or complex technology delivery, leading initiatives across multiple teams and vendors.
• Experience with mission-critical systems and high-stakes delivery, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, confident stakeholder management: you are visible, not the quiet type, and keep trust under pressure.
• Experience in product-led, agile environments, adding coordination without turning teams into a project office.
• Enough technical understanding to hold your own with engineering and architecture leaders.
• Professional fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.

What you can expect
