Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in Breda, Netherlands is looking for a Senior Technical Operator to ensure efficient production processes in a GMP-regulated environment. Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Operator – Automated Lines to support automated production operations within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. In this role, you will act as a technical expert on the production floor, ensuring stable and efficient production processes while supporting troubleshooting, process improvements, and operational excellence across automated manufacturing lines. You will work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to maintain high production and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated production equipment and manufacturing lines
• Perform line set‑ups, changeovers, cleaning, and line clearances
• Execute advanced troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA / 5-Why)
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and support technical escalations
• Perform minor equipment adjustments and first‑line maintenance activities
• Monitor and document production data within SAP and/or MES systems
• Support deviation handling and technical investigations
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Coach and support operators and team members on the production floor
• Ensure GMP, safety, and quality compliance at all times

Requirements

• MBO+ or equivalent technical education
• Experience within automated manufacturing or production environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience working within GMP or other regulated production environments
• Familiarity with SAP and/or MES systems
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
• Experience as SME, senior operator, trainer, or technical lead is an advantage
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills
• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is considered an advantage
• Willingness to work in shifts

Additional Information

• This role currently operates in a 3‑shift rotation and will transition to a 5‑shift schedule from 2027 onwards
