Job summary

Real is seeking an experienced Technical Operator to run and optimize highly automated lines in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical production facility in Breda. You will monitor performance, adjust settings, and resolve mechanical and process issues to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, recording production data in SAP/MES, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least three years in a production or operator role.
• Experience with automated production, assembly, or packaging lines.
• Technical education at MBO level (VAPRO B, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, electronics, or mechatronics.
• Ability to understand sensors, bearings, valves, and control systems.
• Experience with GMP, SOPs, and structured production procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup, close-down and cleaning.
• Adjust mechanical settings and production parameters.
• Identify and resolve technical and process-related issues.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Are you an experienced Technical Operator with a passion for automated machinery and technical problem-solving? Would you like to work in an advanced pharmaceutical production environment where quality, safety, and continuous improvement are essential?

For an international pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Breda, we are looking for several Technical Operators Automated Lines. In this position, you will operate, monitor, and optimize highly automated assembly and packaging equipment within a GMP-regulated environment.

Your Role

As a Technical Operator, you are responsible for keeping the production lines running safely, efficiently, and according to strict quality standards.

You monitor machine and process performance, adjust technical settings, and resolve operational issues. When problems occur, you investigate the root cause and work closely with colleagues from Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance & Engineering to find sustainable solutions.

You will also ensure that all production activities and results are documented accurately in accordance with GMP requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated assembly and packaging lines
• Perform machine set-up, close-down, and cleaning activities
• Adjust mechanical settings and production parameters
• Identify and resolve technical and process-related issues
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Monitor machine performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Record and verify production data in SAP and MES systems
• Complete batch records, production logs, and other GMP documentation
• Analyse deviations and elevate issues when necessary
• Participate in problem-solving meetings with Production, Quality, and Engineering
• Contribute to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure clear and accurate shift handovers
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured working environment

Your Profile

You are technically skilled, accurate, and comfortable working in a highly regulated production environment. You take ownership of your work and approach technical problems in a structured and analytical way.

You bring:

• At least three years of experience in a similar production or operator role
• Experience with automated production, assembly, or packaging lines
• A technical education at MBO level, such as VAPRO B, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, electronics, or mechatronics
• The ability to understand and explain components such as sensors, bearings, valves, and control systems
• Experience with troubleshooting methods such as 5 Whys, RCA, Fishbone, Kaizen, TPM, or SMED
• Experience with SOPs and structured production procedures
• Experience with GMP, SAP, or MES is a strong advantage
• Good spoken and written English
• Willingness to work in a shift system and commute to Breda

Experience in the pharmaceutical or food industry is preferred, but candidates from other highly automated or regulated production environments are also welcome.
