Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in Breda is seeking an Automated Manufacturing Technical Operator (GMP) to run and optimise automated production lines. The role combines hands-on operation with technical troubleshooting and precise documentation to support safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing.

You will set up, monitor and adjust equipment, perform root-cause analysis, collect data in SAP/MES, and contribute to continuous improvement through Lean methods.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a similar production/operator role, with automated lines experience preferred in pharma/food.
• Formal technical education per MBO / VAPRO B or equivalent.
• Solid GMP understanding and ability to follow SOPs.
• Experience with SAP/MES or similar ERP systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement mindset.
• Fluent in English and willing to work shifts in Breda.

Responsibilities

Role Description

We are looking for an Automated Manufacturing Technical Operator (GMP) to run and optimise automated production lines. This role combines hands-on operation with technical troubleshooting, accurate documentation, and a continuous improvement mindset to support safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated production equipment in line with SOPs and GMP requirements
• Perform set-up and close-down activities to keep production running smoothly
• Troubleshoot technical issues and carry out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• Adjust mechanical and parameter settings to optimise performance and minimise downtime
• Collect, record, and verify production data in SAP/MES systems
• Complete GMP documentation accurately and on time (e.g., batch records, logs)
• Analyse process performance, identify deviations, and escalate where needed
• Take part in cross‑functional triage discussions with Quality, Maintenance/Engineering, and Production
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and structured problem-solving methods
• Ensure clear shift handovers and effective communication within the team
• Work safely at all times and contribute to a compliant, well‑organised shopfloor environment

Requirements

• At least 3 years' experience in a similar production/operator role, ideally in assembly and packaging
• Proven experience working with automated production lines (pharma or food industry preferred)
• Technical education such as MBO / VAPRO B (or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of GMP and working to SOPs in a structured environment
• Confident using SAP/MES or similar production/ERP systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with methods such as 5 Why, RCA, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, Fishbone
• Technical knowledge in areas such as mechatronics, pneumatics, and/or electronics
• Fluent in English
• Willing to commute to Breda and work a shift system
