IQ Staffing is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to help a large financial services company introduce new technology to its analytics platform securely, practically, and cost-effectively. You will shape the Azure/Databricks-based platform used by data engineers, analysts and data scientists.
You’ll translate platform needs into clear requirements, assess new services for feasibility and security, and connect architects, engineers and business stakeholders to agree on practical
How do you introduce new technology to a bank’s analytics platform while keeping it secure, practical and cost-effective?
For a large financial services company, we’re looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst who can turn that question into clear requirements and workable solutions. You’ll help shape the platform that data engineers, analysts and data scientists use to develop and test analytics across the organisation.
The platform runs on Azure and Databricks, with AI services available to its users. Your focus is on the environment and services that make their work possible.
You’ll assess what it takes to introduce a new Databricks feature or AI coding assistant: what users need, what it costs, how it fits technically and what security controls are required. Working closely with architects, engineers and business stakeholders, you’ll help the team make informed decisions and challenge unnecessary complexity.
You’re an experienced Technical Business Analyst who understands how data or analytics platforms operate. You can discuss technical choices with engineers, understand the business need behind a request and help both sides reach a clear decision.
Experience with Azure, Azure Boards, Databricks or AI services would be valuable. A background in platform engineering followed by a move into business analysis or solution architecture could also fit well.
Banking experience isn’t essential. Experience in a large organisation where security matters is relevant.
You’ll work on decisions that affect how analytics and AI are used across a large organisation. The work is varied: one day you could be assessing a new AI service, the next improving access processes or leading a requirements workshop.
It’s a role with room to question, influence and connect people across technology, business and security, within a multicultural platform organisation.
