Xccelerated | Part of Xebia in Den Haag is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to build and shape a central cloud data platform for a Dutch bank. You will lead technical delivery on Azure and mentor the team to grow.

You will design scalable data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, dbt and Terraform, driving data governance and AI initiatives while delivering high-impact business value.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with focus on cloud data platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure (Data Factory, ADLS).
• Experience with Databricks (Unity Catalog), dbt and Terraform.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading technical delivery or mentoring other engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Technical backbone of the data engineering team implementing a central data platform.
• Designing, deploying and maintaining data apps on Azure using Terraform.
• Build scalable data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks (Unity Catalog) and dbt.
• Consolidate data infrastructure into one central data platform.
• Lead delivery across multiple projects and mentor engineers.

Build and shape the central cloud data platform of a Dutch bank. As a Senior Data Engineer, you bring deep Azure expertise, lead the technical delivery and help the team grow.

What you\'ll work on

You are the technical backbone of the data engineering team, building a platform that delivers stable, trusted data for business and regulatory reporting.

• Designing, deploying and maintaining data applications on Azure using Terraform
• Building scalable, reusable data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks (Unity Catalog) and dbt
• Consolidating data infrastructure across the bank into one central data platform
• Creating solution designs and leading delivery across multiple projects
• Mentoring junior and medior engineers in their technical development
• Driving AI initiatives, such as LLM-based tooling that speeds up engineering workflows

You work as a consultant at our client, as part of the Data & Analytics platform team. The bank is going through a merger, which means data flows will change significantly, making this a role with real impact.
