Job summary

Hai Robotics Co. Ltd in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced senior engineer to lead System Design, drive the product roadmap, and coordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, procurement, and sales.

You will ensure CE safety and ergonomics in all product designs, with travel to China 3–4 times per year. The role requires a strong background in logistics automation, MATLAB/3D modeling experience, and fluency in English; Chinese is a bonus.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of CE safety standards and their application in material handling.
Expertise in human–machine interaction within logistics environments.
Advanced logistics automation design with 5+ years of experience.
Ability to analyze and interpret customer business processes.
Experience working in multidisciplinary, intercultural networks.
Strong communication, presentation skills and fluent English; Chinese a bonus.
Results- and solutions-oriented mindset.
Market and strategic thinking with cost/resource awareness.
Willingness to travel to China 3–4 times per year.
Academic credentials or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the definition of the PRD to plan the System and Product.
Define and manage the Product Portfolio and standardization of workstations across the product lifecycle.
Lead the Product Roadmap and the future company vision in the Product field.
Conduct product landscape and competitor analysis.
Secure CE safety harmonization and ergonomic considerations in system design.
Lead multidisciplinary development teams and ensure detailed engineering per PRD.
Oversee prototype verification and testing requirements.
Coordinate with Procurement and supply chain to define product-supply strategy.
Guide Sales and Solutions teams to implement the final product per design.
Engage in PoC projects and evaluate commercial customizations and requirements.
