Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Benelux region, based in Amsterdam, to lead technical engagements and partner with Account Executives to expand adoption. You will design solutions, deliver compelling demos, and own customer relationships across data engineering, analytics, and ML workloads.

The role requires strong Python/SQL skills, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and expertise with Spark/Delta Lake. The position is hybrid with an initial 12-month term.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a hands-on consulting role (3+ years preferred)
• Proficient in Python and SQL with production-quality code; live coding during interview
• Hands-on experience designing data solutions on public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Familiarity with distributed data systems (Spark, Delta Lake, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink)
• Ability to lead technical customer conversations (discovery, whiteboarding, architecture reviews)
• Strong presentation and demo skills to build and present live solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads across data engineering, analytics, ML, and GenAI
• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept and live demos on the Databricks Platform
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams
• Develop account-level technical strategies with Account Executives to grow platform usage
• Articulate Databricks differentiation during competitive evaluations
• Contribute reusable assets (notebooks, accelerators, reference architectures) to the SA community
