Nedap in Groenlo is hiring a Ruby Developer to join the Tech/Infra team. You’ll shape the backend, optimize Ruby on Rails architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure while enabling faster, safer delivery for healthcare logistics solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in backend or full-stack work, 3+ years with Ruby/Rails, and a strong DevOps mindset. Hybrid work is standard, with on-site collaboration at Groenlo and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack software development.
• 3+ years of Ruby and Ruby on Rails experience.
• DevOps mindset with focus on CI/CD and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with agile software development practices.
• Excellent spoken and written English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refactor and maintain Ruby on Rails apps with focus on scalability and performance.
• Improve technical architecture and contribute to strategic decisions.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, containerization and orchestration.
• Monitor applications and improve logging, metrics and tracing.
• Increase stability, security and reliability of applications.
• Promote test automation and engineering best practices.
• Coach colleagues in Ruby and DevOps and share knowledge.
• Improve developer experience and deployment processes.
