Job summary

Nedap is hiring a Ruby Developer in its Tech/Infra team within Healthcare. You will work on the Ruby on Rails backend, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure to support scalable, reliable logistics solutions.

The role emphasizes DevOps practices, performance optimization, and collaboration with product teams. The position offers hybrid work with an emphasis on flexibility and a healthy work–life balance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in back-end or full-stack software development.
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with DevOps principles and infrastructure.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling.
• Nomad experience is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with agile development (TDD, BDD, continuous delivery).
• Clear vision on building scalable, maintainable systems.
• Ability to coach colleagues and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refactor and maintain Ruby on Rails applications with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Improve the technical architecture and contribute to strategic technical decisions.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and work on containerization and orchestration.
• Monitor applications and improve logging, metrics and tracing.
• Increase the stability, security and reliability of our applications.
• Promote test automation, code quality and engineering best practices.
• Coach colleagues in Ruby and DevOps and share knowledge.
• Continuously improve developer experience and deployment processes.
