Job summary

Nedap in Groenlo, Netherlands, is seeking a Ruby Developer to join the Tech/Infra team within Healthcare. You will work on the technical backbone of our logistics solutions, building scalable Rails applications and ensuring reliability for healthcare organizations.

You will combine software development with DevOps practices, improve CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to knowledge sharing. The role offers 32–38 hours weekly in a hybrid setup with on-campus presence in Groenlo and a salary of

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full‑stack software development experience.
• 3+ years with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong DevOps mindset and infrastructure understanding.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling.
• Nomad experience is a plus.
• Experience with observability and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with agile development (TDD/BDD, CD).
• Clear view on building scalable, maintainable systems.
• Ability to coach colleagues and share knowledge.
• Excellent spoken and written English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refactor and maintain Ruby on Rails applications with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Improve architecture and contribute to strategic technical decisions.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines; containerisation and orchestration.
• Monitor applications, improve logging, metrics and tracing.
• Increase stability, security and reliability of applications.
• Promote test automation and engineering best practices.
• Share knowledge and coach colleagues in Ruby and DevOps.
• Continuously improve developer experience and deployment processes.
