Job summary

QuantWare BV in Delft is seeking a Senior Quantum Algorithm Expert to lead the mapping of real-world use cases to quantum algorithms, estimate resources, and build automation to accelerate development.

You will collaborate with Software Development, System Engineering, and Quantum Hardware teams to translate algorithmic requirements into real-world hardware specifications, and stay abreast of advances in quantum error correction.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in quantum algorithms and resource estimation.
• PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science or Quantum Information Science.
• 5+ years of post-degree research or industry experience in quantum algorithms.
• Experience implementing quantum workflows on physical hardware is a plus.
• Strong collaborative and outcome-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and translate enterprise use cases into quantum algorithms with speedups.
• Create frameworks to resource-estimate circuit execution for hardware requirements.
• Lead automation for mapping and resource estimation with software teams.
• Collaborate with Hardware and Systems Engineering on hardware feedback.
• Stay updated on academic and industry advances in quantum algorithms.
