Job summary

QuantWare is seeking a Senior Quantum Algorithm Expert to lead the development of quantum applications, resource estimation, and automation tools. The role involves translating real-world use cases into quantum algorithms and hardware specifications through close collaboration with software, hardware, and systems teams.

A PhD and 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development are required, with a proven ability to map enterprise problems to fault-tolerant solutions and drive research

• PhD required with 5+ years in quantum algorithm development.
• Experience mapping real-world use cases to quantum algorithms.
• Ability to lead resource estimation and automation efforts.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and systems teams to translate needs into quantum solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate quantum computing applications by mapping real-world enterprise use cases to quantum algorithms with proven speedups.
• Develop frameworks to resource-estimate circuit execution, translating algorithms into fault-tolerant hardware requirements.
• Be the technical lead for application mapping and resource estimation automation, defining structure, logic, trade-offs.
• Collaborate closely with Quantum Hardware and Systems Engineering teams to understand hardware specifications and feed back hardware optimisations.
• Stay on top of academic and industry developments in quantum algorithms and quantum error correction implementations.
