Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to own quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance of advanced radar systems. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Service to develop quality plans, prevent defects before handover, and drive corrective action when issues arise.

You will lead cross‑functional quality improvements, oversee testing and validation, and ensure CTQ parameters are embedded early in design and supplier reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, auditing, or quality control within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and QMS governance.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and data‑driven decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Quality planning and QMS governance across operations.
• Lead cross‑departmental and supplier quality improvement initiatives (8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, FMEA).
• Oversee testing, validation, and system integrity for radar systems.
• Act as voice of customer quality during design and procurement reviews.
• Manage supplier qualification, audits, and incoming goods inspections.
• Develop metrics to measure defect rates and process maturity.
