Job summary

Robin Radar is seeking a Compliance & Certification Lead to boost the radar team’s engineering capacity by managing ongoing and new certifications, including US MAX certifications and MIL‑STD/STANAG testing considerations. You will translate norms into concrete tests, mature pre‑compliance activities, and plan market access strategies for global deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical field.
• Proven experience managing relationships and projects with external parties, such as accredited test houses, NRTLs, regulators, or specialized engineering consultants.
• Solid technical background in at least one major testing discipline: Environmental, Safety, Radio.
• Extensive experience with NRTLs /UL approval processes and North American electrical safety standards or thorough understanding of FCC regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex norms into actionable engineering advice.

Responsibilities

• Requirements Management & Tailoring: identify compliance requirements during the project conceptual phase and develop test profiles for military standards.
• External Stakeholder Management: act as the primary contact with accredited test laboratories, regulatory bodies, and external consultants.
• Market Access Strategy: identify certification paths with foreign regulatory agencies and military customers to gain global market access, plan and oversee (re)certification tests.
• Lifecycle Management: keep all current product certificates up-to-date with evolving laws and product updates.
• Technical Documentation: compose/update test plans for approvals (STANAG, CE, FCC, NRTL) and generate safety assessments.
• Capability Growth: mature internal pre-compliance test capabilities to reduce risk before external testing.
