Lever, Inc. in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior QA Engineer embedded in a product squad to own quality strategy, automation, and performance testing. You will shape test architecture, participate in sprint ceremonies, and lead efforts that elevate testing across the organisation.

The role emphasizes autonomy, technical leadership, and delivering reliable fintech-grade software. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and engineering teams from early stages, and drive testing

Formación

• 5+ years of QA engineering in software products with ownership of testing strategy.
• Strong test automation engineering skills for production-quality tests in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Deep API testing experience including REST, contract testing, integration tests, and JSON schema validation.
• Hands-on performance and load testing with actionable results.
• Java-based backend understanding and ability to write representative tests.
• Autonomy without a dedicated QA manager and ability to mentor others.

Responsabilidades

• Embed within a product squad as a core technical contributor.
• Define acceptance criteria with Product Owners to reduce ambiguity.
• Own test architecture and strategy across unit, integration, contract, and E2E tests.
• Lead performance and load testing, set baselines, and drive improvements.
• Own Definition of Done and quality gates before releases.
• Design, maintain, and improve automated test suites in CI.
• Triages flaky tests vs regressions in high-traffic areas.
• Mentor QA engineers and raise automation standards.
• Contribute to chapter-wide QA standards, tooling, and onboarding.
• Drive strategic QA initiatives like contract testing or AI-assisted workflows.
