Job summary

Jobgether SRL in Netherlands is seeking a Senior QA Engineer embedded in a product squad to own testing strategy, automation, performance, and integration practices. You will shape quality architecture, govern quality gates, and tackle high-risk testing challenges while collaborating with engineering and product teams from the earliest stages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA engineering experience in a software product environment.
• Strong test automation engineering skills with production-quality tests in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Deep experience with API testing including REST, contract testing, and JSON schema validation.
• Hands-on experience with performance and load testing.
• Strong experience in Java-based backend environments.
• Autonomy and decision-making without a dedicated QA manager.
• Mentoring other QA engineers and leading quality initiatives.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or digital financial services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embed within an engineering squad as a core technical contributor.
• Define and refine acceptance criteria with Product Owners.
• Own the squad's test architecture and strategy across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
• Lead performance and load testing and translate findings into improvements.
• Own the Definition of Done and quality gates for releases.
• Design, maintain, and improve automated test suites in CI.
• Triage complex test failures and differentiate flaky tests.
• Mentor QA Engineers across teams and contribute to QA standards.
• Represent the squad in broader QA initiatives and tooling decisions.
• Lead strategic QA initiatives such as contract-testing or AI-assisted test generation.
