Job summary

Siemens Energy in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a sales focus to ensure continuity for projects in the Dutch market. You will oversee the full project lifecycle from planning to closure, manage budgets and vendor tasks, and guide teams to deliver on time and within scope.

You will actively identify risks, maintain quality standards, and serve as the main liaison for stakeholders. Dutch and English proficiency is required, German a plus, with opportunities to negotiate

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in general project management, preferably with sales experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders.
• Experience in energy/industrial services; rotating equipment a plus.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, risk, budgeting, QA.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control all project phases from initiation to closure within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure timely completion and objectives.
• Execute and close project tasks, integrating vendor work and QA of deliverables.
• Monitor and report cost, timing, and staffing to stakeholders.
• Serve as primary contact for stakeholders, managing communications throughout the lifecycle.
• Offer, negotiate, and close long-term service agreements and related contracts.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will plan, organize, and control all project phases from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and obstacles to guarantee timely completion and adherence to objectives.
• Manage project implementation and closure processes, integrating vendor tasks and reviewing deliverables for quality assurance.
• Monitor and report on project status, including cost, timing, and staffing, to keep all relevant stakeholders informed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, effectively managing relationships and communications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Offer, negotiate and close Long Term Service Agreements, O&M Contracts, Open Market Opportunities, Upgrades and Extensions or any other customer related agreements.

What You Bring

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, ideally coupled with a Project Management (PMP) certification.
• With at least 5 years of extensive experience in general project management, preferably with sales management experience, you have a proven track record of managing projects independently.
• Your strong influencing skills enable you to lead teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience in the energy or industrial services sector is highly desirable, enhancing your understanding of the industry. Knowledge and experience in rotating equipment will be considered an asset.
• You possess expertise in project management methodologies, risk management, budgeting, and quality assurance.
• Dutch and English in both written & spoken is required, German will be an asset.
• Broad commercial and contractual understanding.
