Job description

Are you as an experienced Quality Professional passionate about cultivating a strong Quality culture? For our International Center of Competence for Data Centers, we're seeking a Quality Manager in Technical Projects (QMiP) to strengthen our organization's standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

In our rapidly growing and agile working environment, you'll find a high level of dynamism, a fast-paced atmosphere, and demanding customers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in such an environment and is ready to make a significant impact.

About the role:

As a Quality Manager in Technical Projects (QMiP), you play a key role in improving the execution of our sales & operations activities for our international Data Center projects, where we design and deliver Power Distribution Systems solutions to our international customers. You'll act as a proactive, hands-on, integral member of the project team, providing essential support to the Project Manager and ensuring quality is embedded throughout the bid phase, execution, and delivery.

The sales, project management, and engineering team is based in The Hague. Our products and equipment are produced across multiple factories in different countries. A typical project scope includes switchgear, transformers, E-houses, automation, and protection systems.

You will be one of four QMiPs within the Business Excellence Team. The broader team consists of 11 professionals, including Business Excellence and Technical Quality specialists.

Your Impact:
  • Project quality management: Develop, control, and implement a project-specific quality management system, documented in the Project Quality Plan.
  • Quality execution: Ensure the successful execution of quality-related project activities, including lessons learned, Quality Gates, non-conformance cost management, and root-cause analysis, ensuring sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Risk management: Work closely with the project team to identify, assess, and manage project risks with an early detection and preventive mitigation already in the sales phase.
  • Project planning: Ensure quality-relevant aspects are integrated into project planning in line with the PM@Siemens project management framework, including Quality Gates and project milestones.
  • Audits: Execute internal audits according to the agreed internal audit plan.
  • Non-conformance management: Manage non-conformances professionally, including root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action implementation.
  • Reporting: Ensure accurate quality reporting to management through the proper maintenance and use of execution tools.
  • Continuous improvement: Implement quality improvement methods and facilitate knowledge sharing across projects.
Your profile

You must be assertive, confident, and able to stand your ground. You should be able to secure time and attention from the Project Manager, even when they have competing priorities or limited availability. Furthermore:

  • A technical bachelor's or master's degree, combined with 5-10 years of experience in technical project quality management or a related role.
  • Proven experience in process-oriented roles and activities in complex project management and engineering environments, ideally in an international setup.
  • Strong knowledge of problem-solving, non-conformity, and risk management methods, such as 8D, A3, RCA, and FMEA.
  • A detail-oriented and curious mindset, with the ability to investigate issues thoroughly and identify practical solutions.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Fluency in English and residence in the Netherlands; Dutch language skills are considered a plus.
Our offer
  • The salary range for this position is between €5,250 and €6,560, in addition to a Benefits Budget of 22.63%.
  • Join a dynamic team in an informal, innovative project environment with enthusiastic colleagues who are passionate about their work.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working: you can work in the office, on-site, or from home.
  • Organize your work in a way that suits you best, with flexible working hours. This is a full-time position, but part-time contracts of at least 32 hours per week are also an option.
  • Quickly connect with your colleagues through our buddy program.
  • Participate in continuous development and learning through a wide range of high-quality training and development programs.
