Elsevier in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, vision and roadmap for editorial decision-support after peer review. You will work with editors, data scientists and engineering to evaluate AI-driven capabilities and improve the publication workflow.

You will lead a cross-functional team, drive evidence-based decisions, and balance user needs with technical trade-offs, contributing to trusted, scalable editorial tools for researchers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Significant product management experience with strategy, roadmap development and delivery.
• Experience with AI and ML products, including generative AI and retrieval-augmented workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
• Ability to understand technical trade-offs and collaborate with engineering.
• Familiarity with scholarly publishing workflows is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for editorial decision-support post-peer-review.
• Lead delivery within a cross-functional agile team with a healthy backlog.
• Partner with editors to translate insights into product improvements.
• Champion evidence-based decisions through qualitative and quantitative research.
• Collaborate with data science to evaluate AI-driven capabilities and prioritise enhancements.
• Define KPIs/OKRs and assess make-or-buy decisions.
• Balance product, technical, and architectural considerations with engineering teams.
• Ensure transparency, accountability and responsible AI use with human oversight.
• Align stakeholders across Publishing, Technology, Operations, and Research Integrity.
• Support go-to-market, launches, adoption and migration planning.
