Job summary

Elsevier in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, vision and roadmap for editorial decision support at the post-peer-review stage. You will collaborate with editors, data scientists and engineers to translate user needs into product outcomes, balancing usability, reliability and AI ethics.

You will work in a cross-functional squad, define KPIs, lead experimentation, and shape go-to-market plans while guarding transparent AI use and auditability.

Qualifications

• Significant product management experience with ownership of strategy, roadmap and delivery.
• Experience with AI/ML products, including evaluating performance.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives in cross-functional teams and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own, define and drive the product vision, strategy and roadmap for editorial decision-support.
• Lead delivery within a cross-functional agile team, manage backlog and priorities.
• Partner with editors to understand decision-making challenges and translate insights into improvements.
• Champion evidence-based decisions with qualitative and quantitative research and metrics.
• Collaborate with data science to evaluate AI capabilities and prioritise enhancements.
• Define KPIs/OKRs and communicate value to stakeholders; assess buy/build/partner options.
