Job summary

Hospitable is a remote‑only and distributed company building software for hosts to manage their short‑term rental businesses. We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to maintain momentum on the core platform and growth strategies, delivering features that impact thousands of customers.

You will work with a Kubernetes-based stack, ship end‑to‑end features, and collaborate with product, sales and customer success to drive value in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend technologies.
• Significant experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, MySQL, and testing pipelines in a deployed web application used by paying customers.
• Hands-on with agentic coding tools in a real production codebase, not just side projects.
• An eye for testable, maintainable, and intuitive code that focuses on customer and business value.

Responsibilities

• Dive deep into Hospitable’s core codebase to develop features and improve workflows for thousands of customers.
• Ship new core platform features 0→1 and iterate based on feedback across product teams.
• Collaborate with product, sales and customer success to deliver well-crafted features that solve real problems.
• Refactor and improve core platform for better maintenance, testing and performance.
