Job summary

Loop is seeking a Product Design Engineer II to own the mechanical design of subassemblies from concept to mass production. You will partner with Electrical Engineering, Sourcing, and contract manufacturers to ensure robust, manufacturable designs and on-time delivery.

You will lead DFM and validation efforts, write clear drawings, and drive ECOs in Arena, while balancing performance, cost and manufacturability. Hybrid work options apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing injection-moulded parts for high-volume consumer products.
• Experience taking designs through mass production.
• Strong fundamentals in tolerances, fits, materials and cosmetic finish.
• Experience collaborating with CMs/ ODMs through tooling, build, and ramp.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design for assigned subassemblies from concept through mass production.
• Lead DFM reviews and tolerance analysis.
• Execute EVT, DVT and PVT builds and iterate based on test results.
• Collaborate with CMs/ ODMs on tooling, sampling and production readiness.
• Author and own 2D drawings and specifications.
• Drive ECOs and change control in Arena.
• Communicate drawing releases across engineering, sourcing and manufacturing.
