Job summary

An innovative engineering company in Haarlem is looking for a Design Engineer to develop and optimize mechanical designs for advanced landing gear systems. This role involves creating 3D models and collaborating closely with engineers to ensure precision and manufacturability. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, along with 2+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in aerospace. Are you passionate about turning complex mechanical concepts into innovative, high-quality designs? As a Design Engineer, you’ll develop and optimize mechanical and structural components for advanced landing gear systems. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to bring robust, manufacturable, and reliable designs to life.

Main Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5.
• Perform tolerance and fit analyses to ensure precision and design integrity.
• Collaborate with stress and manufacturing engineers to ensure producibility.
• Support design reviews, configuration management, and documentation.
• Contribute to product improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design (aerospace experience preferred).
• Skilled in CATIA V5 and GD&T.
• Strong analytical mindset and communication skills.
• Dutch nationality is mandatory.
