Job summary

GitLab is a remote-first company seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer. You will deliver installations, migrations, trainings, and advisory engagements for GitLab capabilities, from single-node Omnibus installs to large IaC-driven references.

You'll work with customers and GitLab product/engineering teams to drive success, manage multiple projects, and mentor other engineers in a largely asynchronous environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef or Kubernetes.
• Experience with two or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience delivering customer-facing services (installation, migration, training, advisory).
• Excellent English communication in written and verbal form; ability to work remotely across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GitLab Professional Services engagements, including installation, migration, training, and advisory services across GitLab capabilities.
• Plan and execute deployments using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices.
• Lead migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed GitLab, guiding customers to secure, reliable workflows.
• Partner with Engagement Managers and Project Managers to improve delivery and reduce friction.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor translating goals into practical implementation plans.
• Interface with product and engineering teams to unblock outcomes and share feedback.
