Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer to work with customers on installations, migrations, and advisory services. You will lead engagements from single-node Omnibus installations to large reference architectures built with infrastructure as code, collaborating with product and engineering teams to improve GitLab features and services.

The role emphasizes remote, asynchronous collaboration, mentoring junior engineers, and guiding complex deployments across multiple cloud

Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef, Kubernetes).
• Cloud experience across multiple providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience deploying GitLab or similar platforms; solid Git and source-control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GitLab Professional Services engagements including installation, migration, training, and advisory services.
• Plan and execute deployments from single-node to large reference architectures using IaC and CaC practices.
• Lead migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments and drive reliable workflows.
• Partner with Engagement and Project Managers to improve delivery consistency and reduce friction.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor translating goals into practical implementation plans.
