Job summary

Booking Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant for PbB Payment Accounting Month Close. This role owns end-to-end month-end close within the PbB scope, coordinating with Payments Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Tax to ensure accurate, auditable financial statements under US GAAP.

You will perform reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany activity, and close documentation, while driving process improvements and controls across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a complex, international, or technology-enabled environment.
• Strong experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP and application to complex payment, liability, intercompany, and revenue transactions.
• Experience executing SOx or other internal control activities and providing control evidence.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits, statutory reporting, tax requests, or regulatory reporting processes.
• Comfortable working with large datasets, investigating exceptions, and drawing clear conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end month-end close activities for an assigned PbB accounting scope.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and post journal entries, including accruals and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain complete and accurate general ledger balances and ensure proper reconciliation to sub-ledgers and source systems.
• Investigate reconciling items, aged balances, and data variances; drive root-cause resolution.
• Prepare detailed supporting analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, and close documentation.
• Perform monthly P&L and balance sheet reviews for the assigned scope and entities.
• Analyze and validate financial information for management reporting and regulatory needs.
• Execute and evidence SOx and other key financial controls; support audits and tax requests.
