Job summary

Booking.com Senior Accountant – PbB Payment Accounting Month Close is responsible for accurate, timely, and controlled close activities across PbB entities, ensuring US GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and robust controls.

You will own the month-end close, perform reconciliations, post journal entries, support internal and external audits, and collaborate with Payments Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, Treasury and Tax to drive data quality and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/CPA) preferred.
• Experience with US GAAP and complex payments accounting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month-end close activities for PbB scope.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany adjustments.
• Maintain accurate general ledger balances and controls.
• Investigate variances and drive issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Prepare supporting analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support audits, statutory reporting, and tax requests.
