GXO Logistics seeks an Operations Manager for our Heerlen warehouse to lead day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, high-volume site. You will drive LEAN initiatives, manage a team, coach staff, and ensure safety while meeting KPIs and budgets. Your strong background in automation and 3PL will shape the future of our operations.

Fluency in English and Dutch is required as you collaborate with a multi-cultural team on continuous improvement, budgeting, and customer-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent through experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in an Operations role with managerial experience.
• Good knowledge of automation and Lean (5S).
• Strong communication in English and Dutch.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day operations and manage the operational team.
• Apply LEAN principles and drive implementations, evaluations & budgets.
• Coach and mentor the team and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure a safe working environment.
• Be the primary contact for customers, manage KPIs and productivity targets.
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting for accounts.
• Report to the Site Manager.

What does your day look like as an Operations Manager

• You will maintain the day-to-day operational focus and lead the operational team on a daily basis
• You will work in the warehouse according to the LEAN philosophy and take charge of operational implementations, evaluations & budgets
• You will be coaching and mentoring your team, managing situations where a consensus needs to be found
• You will be responsible for a safe working environment
• You will be the primary contact person for your customers, managing expectations/statistics, implementing and delivering on KPIs and productivity targets
• You will be involved in forecasting and budgeting for your accounts
• You will report to the Site Manager

What do you need to be successful

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent through experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience in an Operations role and managerial experience of leading a team
• Good knowledge of automation
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment which is extremely fast-paced
• Lean background is a plus – ideally 5S
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch
