Job summary

Heerema is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead one of our offshore product lines (Decommissioning, Wind, or Transport & Installation). You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, plan and execute complex offshore projects, and develop innovative technical work preparation for development, tenders, and operations.

Qualifications

• A higher professional education in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in offshore engineering, project preparation, and operational execution within the offshore energy, marine construction, or heavy-lift contracting industry.
• Excellent analytical, practical and pragmatic skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Supervisory and coaching skills to provide guidance to other engineers.
• Ambition to work (temporarily) at yards, offshore on our vessels or in our other offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of enthusiastic engineering professionals.
• Plan, coordinate and control assigned work and definition of required resources and competences for own people and subcontractors.
• Develop offshore execution methods for offshore projects, nomination of required equipment, concept and detail design of lifting arrangements etc.
• Perform engineering, technical project preparation and execution support for offshore projects.
• Review and organize review of internal and external deliverables (drawings, reports and procedures).
• Perform technical management of subcontractors from specification to completion of function test of equipment and hand-over to user.
• Prepare cost-effective tenders or work on future developments to shape the market.
