Job summary

Heerema is seeking a Senior Subsea Engineering professional to coordinate technical subcontractors and interfaces across vessels and project teams. You will advise on ROV and subsea tooling operations, define scopes of work, and support testing, mobilization, and offshore execution.

The role spans decommissioning, transport, installation, and offshore wind projects. You will contribute to safe, innovative subsea solutions by leveraging a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–7 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–7 years of relevant offshore, subsea or marine engineering experience.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise within subsea operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Technical subcontractor management support: interface between subcontractors, Heerema's vessels and project teams.
• Tender and project preparation: advise on ROV, subsea cutting and dredging operations and propose fit-for-purpose tooling solutions; define scopes of work and testing/qualification requirements.
• Provide technical support during equipment testing, mobilization and offshore execution (~10% of the year).
• Stay informed about developments and innovations in the subsea market.
