Job summary

NKT, based in Rotterdam, seeks a Senior Offshore Engineer to lead and coordinate offshore engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring safe and high-quality delivery. You will guide the team in developing repair preparedness documentation, procedures, calculations and risk assessments for offshore cable installation and repair operations.

You will balance resources, align competence with delivery priorities, and act as a key technical interface to project managers, tender teams,

Qualifications

Degree in Maritime Technology, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering or a similar discipline.
Extensive offshore engineering experience across project phases.
Understanding of offshore methods, vessel and equipment interfaces, installation and repair procedures, and risk assessments.
Experience coordinating teams and coaching engineers.
Strong analytical and communication skills to align technical topics with stakeholders.
Willingness to travel internationally and support offshore activities.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate offshore engineering activities across multiple projects.
Develop repair preparedness documents, procedures, method statements, calculations and risk assessments.
Balance resources and align competence with delivery priorities.
Act as technical interface to project managers, tender teams, installation teams, clients and subcontractors.
Provide hands-on support during offshore campaigns and capture lessons learned.
