Job summary
NKT is seeking a Project Engineer Nearshore to lead engineering activities from planning to execution on global nearshore installation projects. The role covers landfall, barge cable lay and burial work, with emphasis on methodologies, documentation, and site support to ensure safe, timely delivery.
You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and clients, coordinating interfaces and ensuring technical and safety standards across projects in Rotterdam and beyond.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Civil/Mechanical/Offshore Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years in Renewables or Marine Construction.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, method statements and installation procedures.
- Experience with multidisciplinary projects and project execution phases.
- Proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Own engineering work packages for nearshore installation projects through the lifecycle.
- Develop and document work methods for shallow-water vessels, barges and landfall operations.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings and method statements.
- Act as the primary engineering focal point for allocated scopes.
- Support risk assessments, HSE planning, quality assurance and project execution.
