Job summary

VSTEP in Rotterdam seeks a Project Manager to deliver complex maritime simulation projects on time, within budget and to specifications.

You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain and production, own projects from kickoff to handover, and maintain client contact throughout. The role requires 3–5 years in PM, Stage-Gate experience, strong English, and a Dutch work permit and driving license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar project management role (maritime or related industrial sector preferred).
• Experience with milestone-driven frameworks such as Stage-Gate and phased project delivery.
• Strong written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and a structured, quality-focused approach.
• Proactive at spotting and solving problems before they grow.
• A valid Dutch work permit and a Dutch driving license (category B).
• Knowledge of logistics and export is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, long-lead navy/m maritime projects and oversee engineering, supply chain, and production.
• Own each project from kick-off to handover to Support Team, delivering on time and on budget.
• Coordinate hardware and software delivery and keep internal teams aligned.
• Maintain the client as the main point of contact and manage expectations with stakeholders.
• Write and maintain project documentation with focus on naval projects.
