Job summary

DiscoverIT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead a greenfield mobile project building a consumer app for Android and iOS, using Kotlin Multiplatform and GraphQL APIs. You will own technical decisions and collaborate with design and product teams.

The role focuses on delivering reliable mobile solutions, contributing to architecture, CI/CD, testing, and reusable components, with hybrid on-site work 2 days per week in Zuid-Holland, starting ASAP and running through June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Android / iOS / Mobile Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS).
• Experience developing and maintaining production mobile applications.
• Experience with API integrations and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of CI and automated testing; ability to work independently in a greenfield environment.

Job description

For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join a greenfield project focused on developing a new mobile application.

You will work on a consumer-facing application that helps families discover products, find inspiration and create and share wish lists. The project is being built using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), supported by GraphQL APIs and Continuous Integration.

The role combines mobile software engineering, technical ownership and product development across Android and iOS.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a new mobile application for Android and iOS
• Build reliable, scalable and well-tested mobile solutions
• Work with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and GraphQL API integrations
• Contribute to technical architecture and engineering decisions

Profile:

• Senior-level Android / Ios / Mobile Engineer
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS)
• Willingness to work across both Android and iOS platforms
• Experience developing and maintaining production mobile applications
• Experience with API integrations
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and automated testing
• Comfortable working independently in a greenfield environment
• Strong technical ownership and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), GraphQL or e-commerce applications is a plus

• Hours: 32–40 hours per week
• Hybrid: 2 days per week on-site (Tuesday and Thursday)
