Job summary

MANUS is seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to become the product expert for pressure gloves used in data gloves with EMF tracking. The role focuses on research, prototyping, and integrating pressure sensing into the next generation of our glove technology.

You will work with electronics, mechanics and software, and communicate with sensor suppliers and partners in English. The position is full-time in Geldrop (near Eindhoven) with hybrid work (three office days).

Qualifications

• Prototypes or proofs of concept you built that combine electronics, mechanics and software.
• Enough electronics knowledge to select, connect and judge sensors and actuators.
• Experience comparing technologies and turning that into a clear recommendation.
• Comfort with technical contact with suppliers and partners.
• Technical discussions in English without searching for words. Dutch is not required.

Responsibilities

• Research and test new pressure sensors and actuators, and compare them on performance and on the company behind them.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept that combine electronics, mechanics and software.
• Add pressure sensing to our current glove and help shape our next generation.
• Stay in technical contact with sensor and actuator companies about samples, support and demos.
• Take on smaller technical challenges alongside your main project; we have more ideas than engineers.
