Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in Breda seeks a Senior Engineer / Mechanical System Owner to manage utility systems, especially chillers, HVAC and compressed air. You will troubleshoot, set maintenance strategies and drive reliability improvements within a regulated pharmaceutical setting.

In this role you will collaborate with service providers and senior engineers, apply RCA methodologies and lead maintenance projects, ensuring schedule, budget and quality compliance while advancing site utility

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in pharma or manufacturing.
• Strong experience with utility systems: chillers, HVAC and compressed air.
• Experience in operations and regulated environments (GxP preferred).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with CMMS (Maximo) and ERP systems (SAP).
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 duty calls (1–2 times per month).

Responsibilities

• Act as System Owner for utility systems, focusing on chillers, HVAC and compressed air.
• Lead RCA and implement reliability improvements.
• Develop and optimize maintenance concepts and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and service providers.
• Utilise CMMS Maximo for asset management.
• Support lifecycle management and continuous improvement of site utilities.
