Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Some experience with low voltage electrical systems and installations (NEN 3140) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of utilities and building management systems (HVAC, sprinkler systems, storage systems).
  • Fluency in English and Dutch, speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

  • Own utility systems: chillers, HVAC, and compressed air, overseeing lifecycle management.
  • Support and troubleshoot unplanned maintenance issues, advise the service provider as needed.
  • Contribute to maintenance improvement initiatives and optimize scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Lead reviews of maintenance plans, including root cause analyses and corrective actions.
  • Co-develop and implement maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive tasks.
  • Identify common failure modes and lead initiatives to reduce repetitive issues.
  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo), ensuring accurate data and updates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers on system design, installation, and upgrade projects, ensuring they meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Utility Systems Engineer to take ownership of key utility systems on-site. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance of critical infrastructure, including cooling, HVAC, and compressed air systems. You will work closely with a dedicated team of engineers, providing technical support, overseeing maintenance activities, and contributing to projects aimed at ensuring the site’s readiness for future growth.
