Job summary

S&T in Delft seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical development lifecycle of our onboard computing platform for space missions. You will guide concepts, architecture, design, integration and validation to meet space-grade mechanical and environmental requirements.

You will work cross-functionally with systems, electronics, thermal, and space-systems teams, own the mechanical architecture, coordinate external partners, and drive test campaigns such as thermal-vacuum and

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong CAD and FEA experience.
• Experience with thermal-vacuum and vibration testing.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical architecture and design of space-qualified computing platforms.
• Develop production plans and coordinate stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform FEA, structural, vibration, and thermal analyses for space environments.
• Translate system requirements into mechanical interfaces and specs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate with electronics, thermal, and system-level requirements.
