Job summary

Demcon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design process from concept to working prototype in a high‑tech environment. You will own mechanical architecture, drive decisions, and ensure collaboration across disciplines to deliver robust solutions for challenging projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, documentation, and stakeholder communication, with a part-remote option (up to 2 days per week) and a strong focus on professional development and work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Mastery in design process from idea through prototype.
• Experience in precision engineering and related fields.
• 7 years’ relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead mechanical architecture for complex projects in high-tech environments.
• Develop concepts from functional decompositions and communicate with stakeholders.
• Carry out calculations, simulations, and test setups to verify functionality early in development.
• Document work and manage collaboration with suppliers, procurement and prototyping.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and mentor colleagues to drive project success.
