Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join an offshore energy project in Rotterdam.

You will provide Materials & Corrosion engineering support across the project, working with disciplines, vendors and subcontractors to deliver robust engineering solutions. The role requires 5-10 years in Oil & Gas, strong EPC experience and a degree in materials-related engineering; offshore project experience in Europe is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong EPC company experience is essential.
• Degree/diploma in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Good knowledge of piping materials and material selection.
• Experience with engineering design and calculation tools.
• Experience across concept development and detailed design.
• Good understanding of engineering systems and interfaces.
• Knowledge of relevant international codes and Oil & Gas standards.
• Strong planning, coordination and communication skills.
• Previous experience working on projects in Europe is required.
• Offshore project experience.
• Previous experience with an international EPC contractor.
• Experience providing technical guidance to other engineers.

The Role

You will provide Materials & Corrosion engineering support across your assigned project scope, working closely with other engineering disciplines, vendors and subcontractors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and optimising Materials & Corrosion engineering solutions.
• Supporting material selection and piping materials activities.
• Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Working to international codes, standards and industry regulations.
• Supporting concept development and detailed design.
• Managing engineering deliverables, interfaces and project priorities.
• Coordinating with vendors, subcontractors and third parties.
• Supporting procurement, fabrication and manufacture activities where required.
• Providing technical guidance to engineers within your area of responsibility.
• Taking technical responsibility for an assigned package or scope where required.

What We're Looking For
