Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join an offshore energy project in Rotterdam.

You will provide Materials & Corrosion engineering support across the project, working with disciplines, vendors and subcontractors to deliver robust engineering solutions. The role requires 5-10 years in Oil & Gas, strong EPC experience and a degree in materials-related engineering; offshore project experience in Europe is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong EPC company experience is essential.
• Degree/diploma in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Good knowledge of piping materials and material selection.
• Experience with engineering design and calculation tools.
• Experience across concept development and detailed design.
• Good understanding of engineering systems and interfaces.
• Knowledge of relevant international codes and Oil & Gas standards.
• Strong planning, coordination and communication skills.
• Previous experience working on projects in Europe is required.
• Offshore project experience.
• Previous experience with an international EPC contractor.
• Experience providing technical guidance to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide Materials & Corrosion engineering support across project scope.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop and optimise engineering solutions.
• Support material selection and piping materials activities.
• Produce and review calculations, specifications and documents.
• Work to international codes, standards and regulations.
• Support concept development and detailed design.
• Manage deliverables, interfaces and project priorities.
• Coordinate with vendors and third parties.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers.
• Take technical responsibility for an assigned package or scope where required.
