Job summary

Byont, a fast-growing biogas producer with locations across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, seeks an experienced M&A Professional based in Hengelo to drive acquisition projects from screening to closing.

You will lead biogas plant acquisitions, collaborate with financial advisors, legal partners, and technical experts, and report to the CEO. A competitive salary and 30 vacation days are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven M&A experience in buy-side, sell-side, or corporate development.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week.
• Experience with due diligence, valuation, and transaction structuring.
• Affinity with or experience in the agricultural sector or renewable energy/biogas.
• Knowledge of energy infrastructure regulations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate acquisition targets, primarily biogas plants.
• Perform financial analyses, company valuations, and investment modeling.
• Coordinate and manage due diligence processes (financial, technical, legal).
• Negotiate acquisition terms and transaction agreements.
• Report to the CEO and the M&A team; build a network in agriculture and renewable energy sectors.
